Ever thought about whether a single straw counts? More than 40 billion drinking straws are used every year. And only in Germany! Plastic straws have been banned since July 2021. An important and indispensable step to make a contribution to environmental protection. Paper drinking straws appear to be a good alternative so that guests in bars, restaurants and to-go shops can continue to enjoy their drinks as usual.

In most cases, however, this alternative is imported from abroad. The import of paper drinking straws, most of which come from Asia, again leads the desired environmental protection ad absurdum. The resulting CO2 emissions are high and unnecessary.

There are alternatives that make a difference, like our company's "Sustainable" paper drinking straw.

Our start-up has been producing in Germany since April 2022. We also source all of our raw materials from local companies. For all details such as paper, glue and packaging, we avoid long transport routes in order to keep our CO2 emissions as low as possible and our price stable.

Our product is just as stable as our price. No soaking up after five minutes of chatting on the cocktail; no constipation because you had to leave the table for a moment while eating; no bending off just because you quickly pushed your way onto the train with your to-go drink. And above all: no taste of cardboard if you really only want to enjoy the pure taste of your drink.

That's the difference: Thanks to our three overlapping layers of paper, such annoyances are a thing of the past. Our paper drinking straw remains dimensionally stable, does not stain and has no taste of its own.

Sea animals and the fauna of the forest do not have to fear our drinking straw either, because we produce our drinking straws exclusively from sustainable, certified paper types. These are compostable. So no trees are wildly cleared and our drinking straw decomposes naturally before it can become dangerous to turtles. We also do not dye our drinking straws, as this saves another production step and the associated transport. Our paper is already produced in color and then only delivered to us. And that makes a difference.

The idea of environmental protection has made us think further about our claim and not stop at our packaging. Here, too, we refrain from shrink-wrapping, packaging in plastic bags or gluing with plastic. Instead, our packaging is made of recyclable cardboard and cardboard, with a simple stamp. Because that makes a difference too.
